Pickling Liquid

3 Cup Distilled white vinegar
1 Cup Water
2 1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Salt
1-1/2 Teaspoon Whole allspice
1 Piece Cinnamon stick -; (3" long)
1-1/2 Teaspoon Celery seeds
1-1/2 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
1-1/2 Teaspoon Whole black pepper corns
33 1/2 Other Carbohydrates

Place all of the ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan, over high heat.
Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 30
minutes. Remove from the heat and cool completely. Strain the liquid and
store in an airtight container. This recipe yields about 1 quart.
