Cherry Ice Cream

2 cups water
6 cups milk
1 pint whipping cream
3 teaspoons almond extract
16 ounces maraschino cherries, drained (juice
    reserved) and chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
Enough cherry juice to color

Mix all ingredient together and put into a 4-quart freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
