Fry the bacon over low heat until cooked but not crisp.
Remove bacon and
drain off all but a couple of table-spoons of the bacon
fat. Add sliced
apples. Cover and cook over low heat until apples are
almost tender. Add
sugar and cook on medium heat until candied. Return bacon
to the pan and
cook briefly, turning frequently.
Serves 4 at a cost of 25 cents a serving.
